How To Use Your Siggy
How do I use my siggy?
First of all, get yourself a hosting site for your siggy. Just copying and pasting the siggy that the maker makes for you is using the maker's bandwidth and, although some makers are happy for you to do this, it's not as if getting your own hosting site is a problem. Most of them are free. Photobucket is a popular choice but there are many out there. To get a Photobucket account, just go to photobucket dot com and sign up for one. As I said above - it’s free.
Next, download the siggy to your computer. If you use a PC, right click on the image and save it to your computer. If you use a Mac, drag the image to your desktop.
Upload the siggy to your chosen hosting site. If you use Photobucket, click on the "browse" button and find the siggy from your computer. Click on "Choose Files".
Put the siggy into your settings. Go into your board settings and scroll down to the personal signature box.
If you use a PC and IE, check the "use your own HTML" box, then copy and paste the *HTML tag* code from Photobucket into the personal signature box. You MUST check the box BEFORE you paste the code in or it won’t work. Click back to WYSIWYG and center the siggy if required. Scroll down and click on "submit" to save the changes.
If you use a Mac or Firefox, copy and paste the *HTML tag* code into the personal signature box and check the "use your own HTML" box. You can do this before or after you paste the siggy code in. If you want your siggy centered, type at the very start of the code and that will centre *everything* in your siggy. Scroll down and click on "submit" to save the changes.
Your siggy will now show up every time you post.
