Is it something you have to cancel at the end of the three months?  I hate when they give you something free but forget to tell you that you are getting it and then four months later you find a new charge.  Can you tell that has happened to me before...my bill went up 50 dollars and I didn't know why(It wasn't Dish though...but it was cable).

That's a cool "gift" if there aren't any strings attached.   They're trying to reel you in and get you to want to keep their services, right?

I know that I could easily get hooked on HBO or SHO, but I'm continuing to resist.  I saw DH looking into "Sports packages", though.   *** sigh ***

We have the HBO package and actually it's saving us money in the long run.  We use to rent movies every weekend...like three or four at least and even though we were on one of those plans that every four or five movies were free and we had coupons and things like that we still spent around 12 dollars every weekend.  Since we have HBO we no longer rent movies we just wait for them to show up on HBO(granted we see them down the road and if it's something we really want to see we will get it on PPV or rent it) and for us all(I'm honestly not sure how many there are) HBO channels comes to 14 dollars a month.  Yes I know we could get Netflicks for cheaper but I do get to watch TrueBlood and Big Love this way and also they show movies I haven't seen in awhile and I like seeing those too.

I'm not trying to sell you on getting a movie package...it's just actually worked out better for us.

Now my dh has looked into a sports package as well but we have stayed away from it because out of all thirty channels more that we would get he only would watch one and it's not worth the money we would spend.
