I've got major computer issues again.   The biggest problem right now is that my entire email account is corrupted - it shows that there should be 101 new emails, but the inbox is empty!   (can you hear the twilight zone music yet?).   Anyway, for now, we're going to try to just switch the towers so that I can try to use the old computer (which was wiped out and cleaned up) .  It's probably going to be slower, but if I can actually SEE the emails in my inbox, it's a huge improvement.

If I go MIA, you'll know where I am!  You can also picture the computer flying out the back sliding door into the retention pond behind our home!

Do you think your computer picked up something from somewhere?  Or is it just one of those things where the warrenty has just expired so everything is going out in it(I've had this one numerous times)?

Good luck getting the old one set up.

I feel like it's a bunch of problems.  One = I think it has a virus (or two).   Two = Vista sucks and continues to screw up my Windows Mail, which in turn screws up all my email (it corrupts everything, then you know there are messages in your inbox, but it shows it as empty).

I'm back on the old computer and it's working for me.   It has Windows XP, so I'm hoping it'll be fine for awhile.

Argh.  Windows 7 had better be a HUGE improvement over Vista or I'm never buying a Dell again... I'll switch to Mac.

Hey Lisa I have a Mac desktop and love it. I also had a Windows XP laptop that got infected with a virus and never truly recovered. I finally replaced it with another laptop. It has Vista with a free upgrade to Windows 7. So far so good. My oldest DS has basically taken over the laptop so I haven't really worked with Vista, I think I'll just stick to my Mac!
