Spitting on the ground is a violation so serious it warrants a spanking?
WHY does a child HAVE to be "punished"?
What does a spanking actually TEACH the child?
In the spittin incident, does it teach the child why they shouldn't spit? Or how one should spit if needed?
What does grounding a child teach? (I personally disagreee 100% w/groundings...it punishes no one but the adult enforcing it).
We "helped" our friend "punish" her son. He kept using money Mom didn't have. She spanked, it didn't stop.
She grounded but it still didn't stop.
Then the child had to EARN the funds back, which is where we came in.
He had to pick up 1lb of doggie do for every $1 he used.
He then understood the concept better and never did it again.
How does spankings teach ANYTHING?
