"Tell me if I have this right.
You and Meghan decided with Andre and Rene to be a parenting partnership, and you and Andre provided the genetic material/womb to make that possible?
Or you and Andre were already doing the baby thing before Meghan & Rene came on the scene?
I really am horribly nosey, lol, but I've never come across a setup like this IRL. I think it's very cool. My initial ASSumption was that you and Andre had been a couple and then split, but then I saw that you were expecting again :o)"
Thanks, we think it's pretty cool too!
I'll try to explain, though it is quite complicated!
André and I have been friends since I was about 14 (he's a bit older than me). We dated when I was 16, then it became close friendship. Since we're both bisexual, we both knew it was quite likely we'd end up in relationships with same gender but we both wanted a family. We decided to help each other out in the future. I've always thought it was important for kids to have parental figures of both sexes, no matter how many they have if they at least have one of each! So, we'd do that together. Then I met Meghan at 17 and fell in love. He went to Paris for a few months, to try his stand up/singing there and he met René there. They became friends and both fancied each other. André then came back to Britain and me, Meghan and André planned our first baby. I got pregnant. Whilst this was going on, André and René were still in contact and they fell in love. So by the time Michael (our first) was 3 months old, it was the four of us as one family, although André and René lived in their own house until last year.
So, we were a couple and split but a happy, natural split and we're now all together and happy with our weird little family! We hope to have one more after this little one.
Rose, loved for life by Meghan and mama to Michael Lloyd (24th May 2005) and Ella Morghan (5th Jan 2008). Co-parenting with André and René.
