Well, went to the dr again this past Thurs. To see the dr this time. He thinks everything was ok and doesn't see any problems. Since we lost ~Luke~ he said we had the option of going to UNC or Duke(which are the hospitals we have here in NC, you may have heard of them before) which is only 30 min drive from here to have a (I am not sure the correct name) high tech u/s at 18 wks. To just take a closer look at the baby and makes sure they don't see anything wrong. You know, with Aden I don't think we were even given that option. Why now?Heck, with Aden they didn't even sit us in the dr.s real office to talk before and after the first examination. They did now. Who knows what changed in the past year with them. Anyway, everything looks good so far...only 8 wks....feels like I am already showing and need bigger clothes. So nervous.....every little pain or weird feeling I have I worry. I wonder if it will get easier......most likely not. So nervous. Thank you everyone for asking how things are going. It does help to know I have so much support! Well, it is off to bed for me. I will have a long day at the antique fair Saturday. I hope all is well and you have a good weekend.

Teri,

I'm happy to here that everything is going okay with you and baby :) Those doctors should be taking a closer look at everything just to see how things are going. Since I talked to my midwife she said that i would be going to a highrisk doctor the next time i get pregnant. I hope that they keep a close eye on me too. She also told me that i could come in anytime i wanted to hear the babys heartbeat so i wouldn't be a crazy woman. It's good to have that for reassurance. Anyways take care of yourself and hang in there. I hope to be in your shoes soon!

It is a good idea to keep a better eye on you since you have already had a loss. I will tell you want kept me sane with Aden. We rented a heartbeat moniter. It was exactly like the one at my drs office. They are expensive to buy, but we rented it for only $30 a month. Well worth it if you ask me. At anytime that I felt scared or worried.....I had it right there to reassure me that Aden was ok. It really helped to have it before the "big" u/s..that was where we found out ~Luke~ heart wasn't beating. I checked it right before we went to the dr with Aden. I would recommend it.
