One mom talks about how a Facebook chat forced her son out of school
"Last May, the principal summoned my husband and me to school. In his office, he shared a printout of a Facebook chat between my 13-year-old son and his fellow classmates. I scanned the exchange, blind to its urgency, but my husband skipped ahead to a dialogue between my son and another boy.
My son mentioned their class' dysfunctional social pressures and anticipated a "cataclysmic event" in which he would "probably be a factor." The other boy asked, "What part will u hav in it?" When my son responded "Nothing fatal," the other boy asked, "Nothing fatal? So wut do u have in mind?"
