done??? Why is there even a joke out there about the 30 things a woman does 'after' she says she's going to bed and the man just goes to bed??

Is it really true that the men do things badly just so we won't ask them again?

Yes, this is a frustration for me today. I hope it's better in your house!!

I don't know why it is that we go to bed after doing a ton of things first, and the guys just head for bed - well, maybe they *know* we'll take care of all of that stuff so they don't have to? As for doing things badly so we won't ask them again, I don't let my dh off the hook that easily - if he does something badly, I may groan, but I let it go just as I do with my kids, unless it's really, really bad, and he *will* get asked again because "practice makes perfect." ;)

I purposely leave things for my husband to do. ;) I will admit he doesn't do things badly (on purpose). He's good that way. But what gets me is that it takes him FOREVER to do things that he just doesn't want to do. Like caulking around the kitchen sink. I got so fed up, *I* did it. LOL

Oh, I hear you!  Most of the time I'm up at least two hours after everyone else has gone to bed.  It's not really by choice, it just works out to be the best time to get things done uninterrupted.  I SAH with the kids, but I also WAH.  I think that last part escapes notice sometimes.
