New here and starting my Nov journal
I followed ann Explore iVillage post, so they do work!
My weight keeps creeping up--this morning I've hit an all-time (non-pregnant) high for me. I hate to post it because it's not a HUGE number and I sound whiny, but my clothes don't fit right and I don't feel right. I'm not eating more than I used to, but I think my metabolism has changed now that I'm in my mid (gasp! when did that happen??) 40s (turn 44 this month!).
So what am I going to do? I've noticed that I takes bites here and there of things. So I'm going to make myself more accountable and WRITE THINGS DOWN. I got an app for my iPod touch that helps me track what I eat each day. I'm going to just keep track for now, but I'm thinking if I have to write it down, then I won't eat so much ;-). I'm also going to the gym. I am not a class person, but I love using the treadmill and the machines, so I am going to schedule that 3 times a week--at least. I talked DH into continuing the gym membership, even though we could stand to save the money, so now I have to use it!
That's my plan for November. Once I see how much I"m eating, I will start doing points again in December (did WW several years ago and it worked great! Money got short and I stopped--then gained back the weight--blech, but I remember what to do--so I'm hoping to do it on my own)
