Be careful where you spray that Pledge. I once had the 'genius' idea of using some when I dusted a ceiling fan, thinking it would repel dust a little bit longer. I got it all over my kitchen floor and I think each member of my family slipped and fell twice that week. I must have mopped it a dozen times before the slipperiness was finally gone!
The one chore I hate the most is dishes, yet I am irked by seeing a sink full of them or seeing them all over the counter or on the table. I don't have a dishwasher and I have a shallow sink. I keep a container of soapy water with a scrubby sponge on the edge of the sink and I don't even bother to fill the sink and soak anymore, I just wash all the dishes every time I walk through my kitchen and have a moment. I probably do dishes 19 times a day!
My kitchen serves as the entry way into my home. When I want unexpected guests to come, all I have to do is make some long, complicated, messy meal, leave the prep and the eating dishes sitting for a night, and VIOLA! In-laws who I see once a decade are drawn to my home like a cartoon mouse to Limburger cheese!
