I'd like to start out by saying that I know these people have been dealt a rough hand, and I'm not criticizing them for using assistance, and when you are born into circumstances like this, it can be hard to not turn to something that's going to make you feel better, even for a short time. (drugs) No, not an excuse, but somewhat understandable. Still......

So, there are nine adults living in this household. The mother of the three girls receives five hundred and something in food stamps every month for herself and her daughters. It just makes me wonder if her food stamps are the sole source of getting food for everyone in the household? I could be wrong, but it sure seems like it. Of course the stamps aren't going to buy filet mignon and lobster, but it seems they could be doing better than giving that baby pepsi, while the other one is eating noodles with ketchup.

Something ain't right here. 12 people living there.  Aunts, Uncles and other people living there and NONE have a job or can help feed them? 500 for 12 people?  I saw a child.. I am wondering why she doesn't have Wic.  Pepsi is not a good choice but it is cheeper than milk. I just find flaws in all this.. There is not enough info to really give a more in depth answer. I feel sorry also that the kids are having to go without. The mom looks like she has been thru alot. It would be nice if there was a way for her to get mental help.

"I saw a child.. I am wondering why she doesn't have Wic. "

I was wondering that myself.

"Pepsi is not a good choice but it is cheeper than milk."

I'm not disputing that pepsi is cheaper, but I also think it depends in what area you live in. I live in the midwest. At my local Aldi, milk is $1.50 a gallon.(For now.) Pepsi is usually somewhere around $3.00 for a twelve pack. (They could be buying the two liters, which are more expensive in the end depending on how much you drink.) I believe powdered milk is cheaper than both. Powdered milk has a bad rep, but it's not terrible when it's ice-cold. It can also be mixed with regular milk to make the regular milk stretch. Heck, water would be a better choice to put in her sippy cup if milk was running low. The only soda my nieces and nephew get are the sips they manage to steal out of our glasses or cans when they think we aren't looking lol.

I would hate for someone to judge me based on what I might feed my kid any particular day. Some kids are very picky and/or have peculiar tastes. If my dd could eat noodles with butter every day I'm sure she would, and sometimes I let her have that to eat. I'm not a fan of giving little kids soda either, but my daughter drank it from time to time even as a toddler. Usually my brother gave it to her, despite my asking him not to, but I didn't have the heart to take it away once she was drinking it. I've found that sometimes extended family members get some joy out of "spoiling" kids by giving them things foods don't normally get, and given that this is about a large extended family living together, some of that may be going on here.
