As you were stating that you want the actual facts....I just have to tell you that your facts unfortunately are far from accurate.
Do you really believe that Alaska has a population of just 9000? The actual population in 2006 for Alaska was over 670,000.
Governor Palin did not attend 6 colleges...fact is it was just 4 (just to note, Obama attended 3 different colleges). If you want the full run-down, let me know.
As for Govenor Palin experience, she has been a small business owner, elected to the City Council of Wasilla, was Mayor of Wasilla, appointed to Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation and then she was elected Govenor.
Obama does not have more experience than this. And again, Governor Palin is the VP nominee not the Presidential nominee, so she shouldn't be scrutinized as such. Obama does not have any real experience - he has never Governed anyone.
It is an insult to Govenor Palin to depict her as unintelligent. And as we are on a "Working Mother" forum and her Working Mother experience (mother of 5 no less - with one being a special needs child) says a lot to me (not to mention all of the experience I mentioned above). Look at all of us, trying to juggle the everyday demands of raising a family while working. She's doing it and doing a great job of it as well. We all have a lot in common with her and face many of the challenges that she has had to face and she has done it with such grace.
I'm not sure what type of Christianity you are referring to but my Christian background is much different than Obama's background. I could NEVER have sit through one sermon of Dr. Jeremiah Wrights, let alone had him marry me or baptize my children. It is very peculiar that Obama chose to disassociate himself with Dr. Wright at the time he decided to run for President and only then resigned his membership in his church. Why all of a sudden was he embarrased of his church? Have you seen Dr. Wright's sermons....wow now that is hatred and it scares me. My church preaches loving one another and loving our country.
I am sorry you thought I was being judgemental of people with Muslim descent. That was not my intent. My intent though is to ensure that in this United States of America that we do not fall short and that we ensure that our country is run by someone who we can put our complete trust in. Unfortunately the name Barack Hussein Obama is just getting too close to the name Saddam Hussain. 911 hit too close to home for me. I am all about our safety here in America. It is something we cannot take lightly for our children and grandchildren's sake. We absolutely would be falling short as a country if we did not investigate ANY terrorist ties any Presidential nominee has admitted to having. I wouldn't think anyone should have a problem explaining their background if they want to run our country after all we have been through. It should not be a surprise - it should be expected as this is the Presidential election!
Thank you for giving me someone to debate with. I do not always vote Republican. I have some fairly strong educated opinions on this one however. I did just change my position on one of our state issues - actually just today! Oh and for the record, I voted for Hilliary Clinton in the primaries!
Just as you stated, "I'm sure you are going to maintain your position, but Iīm just doing my best to get the actual facts out there."
