After a whole year without any hospital stays, my father has been back for the past week now. He has a lung infection, low Hb levels and a kidney condition.
His Hb levels have gone up to the minimum level required, his lungs are clearing up and he will have to have his kidneys monitored for the rest of his life. For now they are going to give him meds for this, but if or when it worsens, he'll have to go for dialysis. We're not there yet, so no one's panicking, but it's sad nonetheless...
