just got this email from my Mom about my brothers MRI from this week:
"Unfortunately, there is still new tumor growth. He has appts later this month with a medical oncologist to discuss possible IV chemo treatments, the radiologist to see if localized radiation is an option (this would be the preferred choice) then back to Dr Taylor to discuss all the options. There is also the possibility of oral chemo with a higher dose or lower dose over more days per month. His seizure meds have been adj once more to decrease his break through sensory seizures. All the above Dr.'s are members of the tumor board and Bill's case will be discussed after all have offered opinions. So something will be done, but we don't know which option yet. He will have his next appt with Dr Taylor on the 24th and will decide at that time. The pathology reports stated that the presence of scattered cell division and possible early vascular changes supports the progression to a high grade astrocytoma. So onward we go. The next few months will be trying for all to say the least. Bill seems to be taking the news in stride. His attitude remains positive. Keep praying and sending good thoughts."
Thanks again for all your prayers and support. This is going to be a rough time I have a feeling.
