extravaganza today...

She invites her 3 friends that live nearby and they come over after school, put up all our outside decorations - mostly just ghoulies & ghosties made from those plastic bags, some spiders web stuff and a few other things, then they come in and decorate cookies, eat some cookies, make a huge mess and generally have a great time lol!

They've been doing it since they were tiny and it's fun to see how much higher the decorations go each year as they get taller and how much more neatly they decorate their cookies, and how much mess they can still make with icing and candies...

This year since the 3 grade 6 girls get back from school an hour earlier than the younger one in Grade 4, I got the older girls to actually make the cookies while they waited for her then they all went to meet her off the bus.

They did a good job, but with 4 batches of cookie dough being made, even though they all took some home we are knee deep in cookies, I think they will be dessert for the rest of the week!

Sounds like fun!

A very small monkey showed up at the end of ladies' curling today.  He even had a little banana sticking out of one pocket.  Incredibly cute!!

That is cute lol!

We've never had monkeys show up when we curl, although we did once have a visit from the Dryer Fairy (It was a great costume,a pair of those white painting overalls with odd socks, and dryer lint pinned all over it !)

Oh, my.

Sounds like the girls had a ball!  How fun!  My Halloween decorations consist of two plastic pumpkins I ran down and pulled out tonight to fill with candy for our ... three ... count them ... one, two, three ... trick or treaters.  Could they come here in time to pull out Christmas stuff?  ;o)  Oh, to have giggly girls making cookies in my kitchen again .....
