Doo doo doo doo...(Twilight Zone)
This is just so weird.
I wrote about Daisy's flyball class yesterday (some negative experiences...) on the shy k-9s board I'm a member of, and a couple of people recommended I get this one book. Couldn't find it on Canadian Amazon, so I went to the author's website and found there were two Canadian sellers. The second one was called "Mungo's Books" and I thought "Well, I have to go there, obviously!" (You may recall one of our cats is named Mungo...) Then when I went to the web-site it turned out to be in Calgary. Weirder. I e-mailed to order the book and said, by the way, I own a cat named Mungo who came from the Calgary Humane Society, isn't that funny? The seller e-mailed me back and said - there was a kitten at the CHS, oh, maybe 9 years ago, who was named after her dog Mungo. Was it possible that...?
!!! Of course, Mungo is 9 years old.
Turns out his foster mom (he was found at about 10 days old in an abandoned house, next to the bodies of his mom and littermates, and they didn't think he'd make it, either) is a friend of the seller, and had asked if she could name the kitten after this person's dog.
Now how strange is that??
