Cats & Kittens

Dusty and Princess are getting spayed in the morning. I am nervous a little bit, because 2 at a time are going and also because well, you know, it's nervewracking to have your furbabies under the knife! I know they'll be safe and okay. Dusty is a tad questionable b/c I think she might not be big enough, but we'll see. I also think she's going to give us a hard time to get in the carrier.

It will also be WEIRD for them to be gone overnight. I'll miss their silliness and running around the house all night! I am also nervous a little because they look so similar that I worry they are going to get them mixed up, so on their cages I put which collar they wear, and the name, obviously.(We still can't tell which is which unless we look right at their faces-so how will the vet keep track of them?) I don't know if they take the collar off during the spaying or not.

I'll post when I hear when I hear from the vet how they made out!

I know it is tough.  All you can do is put your trust in the vet.  I was lucky with Aida in that the vet called when she was out of surgery so I didn't have to worry all day.

I know what you mean about the quiet.  I was gone this past weekend to a conference and that meant no cats....I am not used to quiet and sleeping alone - it was strange.

Let us know how they are doing.  I am sure things will be fine.

Well, Dusty gave us some serious exercise. It would have been so much easier if she would have just hid under the bed and STAYED there. Only she decided to run behind the fridge (I now see WHERE she sits back there-there's a shelf under the fridge and she sits there, but it seems that sometimes she sits right in between the washer and dryer (it's in the kitchen and it's one of those 2 in one things) and the fridge. Then she ran to the living room behind the curio cabinet.

She'd be a GREAT hide and seek player, and gave us enough exercise today! :)

After we left, my stomach jumped with nerves. I know they'll be okay, but Dusty makes me nervous with her scaredy cat vibes. I haven't gotten a phone call yet from them about Dusty--I was almost sure she'd have to come home b/c of attempting to run away.
