The girl is gotta get her butt kicked.  She has decided that she wants to nurse - on anyone she can find.  Mainly Tim, Tom or Ivy.  Ivy (heaven help me) will let her do it.  Tim will put up with her for a little bit, trying to distract her.  Tommy has, more than once, punted her across the living room.

I don't get it.  If she had started this right after her mommy left, I might have understood.  But it has only been in the last 2 weeks.  I try to distract her (good luck) and have taken to putting all three of them back in the bathroom at night with more food.  This morning it was all gone, but some mornings it isn't...which makes me think it isn't about being hungry (though that could be part of it - which I don't get either since there is food out [though not the canned kitten food] all the time).

Ideas?  I don't want her driving the adults so nuts that they do something more drastic.  For now, Tommy will kick her and if she doesn't get the point, he gets up and leaves.  She just won't take no for an answer....

Hm, that's very strange! Princess tried nursing from Snowball, but that was understandable; as she was very, very young at that time.

Princess will kick Dusty if she bugs her, or she just walks away.

Well, I am not too helpful, am I? I have no idea really, why she's doing that. Sometimes I've tried upping the attention if they do something odd, and that kind of stops the behavior.

That is weird.  I don't know what to tell you but keep her seperate from everyone, but that's isn't fair to her.  I wonder if you could put Bitter Apple on everyone's tummy to discourage her?  Other than that I don't know.

I don't think Tim or Ivy would appreciate licking Bitter Apple off of themselves (though I got a laugh from the mental image).

I don't know what she is up to during the day, but she will eat like mad if I lock her up, so maybe it is about food.  But if that is the case, then walk into the 2nd bedroom and get something to eat.  sheesh....  :)

Guess I will have to chalk it up to weird kitten habits.

I threw a ball the other evening when she went for Tim - she looked up, tracked it and then went back to what she was doing.  Once she is focused, good luck getting her off track.  <<sigh>>

With working, there is only so much I can do to provide more canned kitten food - I can't leave it out as everyone else will eat it.  There is always dry food out, but she doesn't seem to get it.  Goofy kid.
