It looks like Choco has completely healed now, he is eating dry food and he is no longer drooling.  His breath is actually a lot better, too :)

I had Choco and Furrby groomed on Monday and they look great, and about 10 lbs lighter :)

We have a small lake near our house, and the boys love playing near the lake.  Yesterday, while they were by the lake (and on their leashes with my husband), someone jogging with a German Shephard (off leash) ran by and the dog attacked both of my boys.  He is a lot bigger than my dogs, and he managed to injure both of them :(  They were both bleeding when I got home from work.  Apparently, he attacked Furrby first (Furrby is a big Chow, about 75 lbs) and then went after Choco.  He grabbed Choco by the ear!  Both dogs were bitten on their ears, Furrby has a small wound on his ear, and Choco's ear looked like it was slightly torn, but it looks better today.  Choco is still on antibiotics since his oral surgery (Clavamox) so I am not worried about him getting an infection, and Furrby's wound seems very superficial, and it is scabbed over, so I think he is ok, too.  The groomer always wants to shave them, but I actually like their fur, so  I never let her cut them very short :)  It is a good thing, I think it protected them somewhat.  It looks like that dog just went after their ears!  I am sure glad that they were not hurt too badly, but I am angry that people think it is ok to let their dogs run around off leash!!!!  My dogs can be a bit aggressive (while on leash) but I do not let people with dogs or kids approach them.  They  are fine at the off leash dog parks, they seem to like other dogs best when they are not on leash :)

I wish people were more responsible :(  If I had smaller dogs, they could have been injured badly, or even killed......

I'm glad to hear that Choco is doing better! Yay!

I'm sorry to hear that they both had a bad experience with a german shepherd. I completely agree about people being responsible with their dogs. I don't let Bud near other dogs because he might be dog aggressive and it's so irresponsible of people to let their dogs off leash especially if they're dog that can hurt other dogs or people. I wonder if that guys dog ever attacked before? It's odd that he'd run and let his dog be offleash if he knew that. Or he just didn't care.

I'm glad that Choco and Furrby are doing okay. You're right that it could have been worse if Choco and Furrby had been smaller. Have you or your husband seen that guy and his dog around before?
