The Pug-o-ween pictures are up on the DFW Pug Rescue website.  Moe's picture isn't there, but Anya's is:

Anya looks so cute! I love the costume and she seems very happy! How did you keep her hat on?

I can't believe Moe & Anya didn't win anything. I haven't seen Moe's pic but Anya should have gotten a ribbon for sure.

the hat has "invisible" elastic that goes under her chin and behind her ears.  She was still able to shake it off her head, and it wound up under her chin.  So I sewed a piece of velcro to the inside of the back of her dress and a longer strip of velcro to the back of the hat, and anchored the hat to the dress to keep it upright.

The Pugs universally hate headgear!

Genius!Of course velcro! Very clever of you to keep the hat from getting shaken off. That's something I always get frustrated about with the shelties- hating wearing hats crosses breeds I think (and I'm no fan of hats myself). The fruit looks like it's the perfect size for Anya and her hat.

Anya looks so very cute! And I love her smile too.
