I'm starting to learn the new ferrets personalities. Panda (the silver blaze) is the most "off the wall" ferret I've ever met. He is constantly in motion. I let them out of their cage for 1 hour in the morning and for 2 hours at night and the other ferts all settle down after about 45 minutes of zipping around. Not Panda... he is literally climbing the walls. He even drags the other ferrets around. I'm not sure what to do when he does that. I did take him a couple of times, scruff him and put him in a crate for time out but then when I let him out he just went back to what he had been doing. I suppose they'll work out their pecking order on thier own. I have just never seen a ferret with so much energy. He is learning not to bite me too. He will run by, bite my foot and keep on getting on. He's hilarious and even after a couple of days has learned to not bite so hard. We're still working on not biting at all but one step at a time.

Pooh on the other hand is a VERY sweet ferret. I've already gotten ferret kisses from her (am I brave or what?). She does put Panda in his place when he picks on her. Thank goodness since she's so small. She loves water. I run the tub faucet for a few minutes since they all seem to like to play in the puddles but she will run through the water running out of the faucet and then look at me with a wet face and the most innocent look on her face. LOL. Her fur is the softest I've ever felt.

Teddy and Kodi are having a blast. At least until Panda grabs them and drags them around. I think they're learning to stand up for themselves. I also think Teddy has a crush on Pooh. He follows her around and wants to do whatever she's doing. Too cute.

Wow, what a bundle of energy. It is fun figuring out their personalities when you first get them and to see positive progress, seeing them doing what you would like them to do, when you would like them to do it...hope things continue to go well...hopefully the biting issue will be ok, it seems good that he is biting less strongly so you don't feel it as much so that makes me think it will pretty much get resolved with time. Congrats on the new Ferts, and it is great you went and got them.

It sounds like you have your hands full with Panda and Pooh sounds like such a sweetie! My Sophia gives kisses too. The others only give kisses if they think there may be ferretvite on your cheek :)  I hope everything continues to go well and Kodi and Teddy learn to put Panda in his place!

Thanks Margaret. Sophia (I love that name) sounds like a sweetie too. I've only had one ferret before who gave kisses and she had been a BAD biter before that. So, I was surprised when Pooh kissed me. They seem to be settling down some. I just have never had a fert like Panda with so much energy and I thought I knew all about ferret energy. I guess they are always teaching me something new:)
