Happy Monday, Everyone!

It's pouring rain here this morning. I hope it is nicer where you are. When I say pouring, I do mean heavy downpour and it's been pretty steady since about 7pm last night. My dogs have their paws crossed and are hoping for a let up, at least long enough they can dash out to a spot under the trees to go potty.

I hope you all had a nice weekend. It's time for us to all check-in, remind everyone where we're from, the name(s), breed(s) and age(s) of our pet(s) and let everyone know what you did this weekend.  Do you have any plans for this week?

I'm co-CL Sue. I live in central Alabama. I have 10 dogs - 9 harriers and 1 dachshund.  The reason I have 10 dogs is that I breed and show them. Our oldest dog is Comet, he is 11. Our youngest dog is Chet, he is 15 months (Comet's grandson).  The dachshund is Joey. He is 7 weeks older than Chet.

Unfortunately, I spent the weekend confined to bed. I strained my back really badly painting my hallway last Friday.  It is still hurting this morning. I have a 10 am doctor appointment. I hope the rest of you had a MUCH better weekend than I did!

Hi everyone. It's Danielle and Dudley checking in from Denmark. Dudley's my 10 year old mostly beagle. He's adopted so we don't know what his mix is exactly.

It rained here all weekend and the wind was howling. But today it's beautifully sunny. Our temps are in the low 60's and upper 50's so Dudley loves to go out and sniff everything that the crisp breeze brings his way.

We have no special plans for the week. We'll have a little road trip next weekend but that's it.

Danielle

Turdle here in Switzerland with Jess the 9 year old Notta Hound.

It's looking like it wants to rain here.. But the Swiss idea of pouring is more akin to my idea of a light rain.

One of my guinea pigs has a broken leg. We're pretty sure it's from my rabbit. I spent the weekend trying to get the rabbit used to his new living space away from the guinea pigs. The guinea pig seems to be doing better but the rabbit is still spending most of his time sulking. When he isn't sulking he's hiding in weird corners.. When he's not doing that he's trying to tear apart my cat tree. He's such a social thing that he's not taking this well.

The guinea pig should be okay, hopefully. There isn't much you can do for a broken guinea pig leg except let it heal.. I'm just hoping I don't have to get another rabbit to keep Mr. Kuh company so he doesn't get too depressed.

Wow I hope you feel better soon Sue!  Back pain is the worst!!

Donna here with Emmy, Airedale Terrier/Hound mix, 9 y/o, Spencer, Greyhound, 9 y/o and Buzz, Greyhound, 8 y/o and we live in Arizona.

I didn't do much over the weekend.  It was quite relaxing.  I had my carpets cleaned and they desperately needed it after all the incontinence problems I had with Spencer this year.  I also went out to dinner at Outback with my dad and a family friend.  It was good although Outback isn't my favorite.  I also put up my Halloween decorations.  That's about it for my weekend.  Nothing special planned this week.

Barbara in Michigan with greyhounds Jester, 9 and Lynn, 10.

I worked from home on Friday while my new 96% efficient furnace was installed.  I was starting to think the old one was planning to blow up the west end of the house.  The new one is really a nice change and the timing was perfect with the tax credits and rebates being offered.  The actual cost is less than half the original price, and far cheaper than a furnace with a lower efficiency that isn't eligible for the refunds.  What a deal!

Saturday we went to Petsmart during halftime of the Michigan-Michigan State game.  It was too painful to watch.  The dogs love to go shopping!  Besides dog food, I needed aquarium stuff because my 30 gallon tank has Aquarian Tuberculosis in it and several of the fish were affected.  I had to euthanize four female guppies and it looks like there might be more affected with it.  Bizarre stuff and I've read so many conflicting things about it online, from it's genetic to it's contagious to humans.  Anyone have experience with it?

B.
