Ooops!  I thought I posted this first thing this morning - obviously not LOL!

Happy Hump Day everyone!  How is your week going so far?  I'm so bummed that we're going back into the 100's for the weekend - ugh!

When I think of my dogs, I don't think of them as having fur as rather them having hair.  I'm not sure why.  I think of fur more like that which fluffy dogs have and my dogs aren't fluffy.  Emmy hair is very coarse and "hard".  If I hug her too much her hair causes me to break out in hives.  Spencer's hair is actually the closest to fur in my mind.  He has extremely soft hair and right now he's shedding a lot.  If I use a furminator on him, a TON of soft undercoat fuzzy hair comes out.  For a Greyhound, he seems to have a lot of hair and an undercoat!  Buzz's hair is short and flat.  His isn't particularly soft but not hard or coarse like Emmys.  His hair is a lot thicker than Spencer's but he doesn't shed.

Question of the Week:  What type of hair or fur does your dog(s) have?

I think of both mine as having hair too. It's fine and short. Charley's (Basset) is softer than Casey's (Beagle), but he's not wiry at all. Now our cats have fur & lots of it! lol

Short and flat.  Are either Casey or Charley double coated?

Jess has a very thick double coat. Like a Huskies but not as dense.. And she sheds like crazy. She's also got this weird mane going on around her neck where the fur is slightly longer and a LOT thicker. It's not really enough to tell just by looking at her but when you pet her it's really noticable.

German Shepherds have that mane thing going on too.  It looks pretty impressive when they raise their hackles!
