Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

I'm slowly recovering. I really thought things might be a little better than they are by now but I'm trying to be good and do as little as possible.

I have started doing my Christmas shopping. Because we are moving, we are purchasing small-sized gifts that should move easily. I'm happy to report that my girls both seem to be into books so it gives us some managible options for them.

The hounds like their fuzzies and bones. I am torn between maybe moving some of the older fuzzies that we've had for years, which I do squeaker repairs on from time to time, or tossing them and just getting new ones when we arrive at our new residence once we get there. I think the old ones might be familiar friends and scents to help them adapt to their new surroundings but I don't know if it's worth it or not.

So, I was wondering, where do you do most of your shopping for your dog(s)? Do you go to different stores for different things? Do you always go to the same store in the same town? Do you ever mail-order treats/bones/toys?
Question of the Week: Where do you shop for your dog(s)?

I get my dog food at PetSmart almost exclusively but toys I buy all over ... Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Tuesday Morning, mail order, pet stores. I'm not sure I always get the best deals but I am selective about what I buy. Do you price shop or impulse buy more for your pet(s)?

Just wondering,

We don't really shop around much for our pet stuffs. We tend to get things from the same couple of stores in the towns surrounding ours.

Though the only thing we routinely buy is food. Jess won't play with toys and the cats have a ton.. Whenever they 'run out' we just go fish them out from under the dressers. They get just as excited as if they're brand new and we dole them out one or two at a time from a tupperware container full of catnip.

The bunnies and guinea pigs have a couple of plastic or metal toys but the majority of their 'stuff' is old cardboard tubes from toilet paper or paper towel rolls. No point in tossing them when they can be shredded and dunked in water bowls first.

If I were you I'd keep a few of the old toys just for the familiarity. Maybe just three or four of the absolute favourites rather than all of them.

I go to Petsmart for almost all of my dogs needs.  I get collars though from various Greyhound internet stores online.

We have four pet chain stores in this area, and PetSmart is consistently the lowest priced of all of them.  With the PetPerks card and the online coupons and specials, I save $3-5 over Petco on any given trip.  They routinely send out e-mails with 15 - 25% off your total purchase during a particular time frame, and I stock up then.

For treats however, I can get a 14 lb box of Milkbones for $8.74 at Sam's Club.  That's less than the 10 lb box costs anywhere else.  Toys/stuffies are cheaper at Pet Supplies Plus.  And Menard's has surprisingly low prices on some grocery/pet items.   (My favorite ground coffee is $4.23 there, $4.88 at Walmart, and $6.99 everywhere else!)

I either buy at PetSmart or Wal-Mart. I've found that things like Milk Bones are less expensive at Wally World, but PetSmart has a better selection of toys & things like dog shampoo.
