Owen is GROOOOWING!!! lol He's getting tall enough to investigate what's going on on counter tops and gets daughters' "left over" scraps off the table. HOW to I get him to stop? The lab we once had snarfed an entire Pizza Hut pizza (very stealthily). I want to nip this in the bud. HELP???

Hi Jen - the only thing I do is keep my counters free of food and push way back anything mine could want to eat.  The other thing is training Owen that he's not allowed in the kitchen period.  It takes some work but I know several people who have trained their dogs that they are not allowed to cross over kitchen thresholds.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  Maybe someone else has come tips.  Do you have any new pics of Owen we can see?

Jasmine used to do that and we cleared the kitchen counter of all thing edible and each time she was caught in the act we would go grab her by the neck skin and pull her down saying "NO"

She also tried a couple of time to hop on the table while we were eating, and we applied the same sentence, now she begs but at least keep her paws off the table (she begs only with DH because he has a soft spot, she leaves me alone)

I laughed at your Pizza hut story because 2 years ago we had the same thing happening to us almost, it was a Domino's Pizza box, 2 slices were left, a friend took it back to my kitchen and put it on top of the microwave thinking it was out of Jasmine's reach and came back to the terrace to join us in a game of card. Jasmine went for the loot, incredibly quietly, eating one slice in the kitchen and then stupidly dragged the box to where we were sitting with one slice in it, and in an act of sheer difiance took the remaining slice in front of us and then teased us into playing "Catch me if you can" UGH!
