Why we can't rescue every cat in the neighborhood.  Ugh!  We had these two gorgeous kitties show up last night.  One is a yellow tabby (I'm assuming a male) and the other was a beautiful calico.  They look to be anywhere from 6-9 months and they were HUNGRY.  Princess had left some food so they ate her leftovers and were begging for more.  William was sitting at the door saying "Feed them mom, let's name them, can they live on our patio, etc." Such a big heart!  I tried to explain that this is Princess's territory and she would get upset with new kitties around but, in the end, I fed them. *blush* I don't know where the explosion of cats in our neighborhood has come from over the summer and fall!

Oh gosh, that is tough. I have a hard time explaining to MYSELF that I can't adopt every cat in the neighborhood, so I can only imagine how hard it is to explain to a 4-year-old. Poor cats! It's so difficult.

LOL....Rena, William has learned from his mom.  You did a wonderful job teaching William about kitties and yep it's all coming back on you. But not to worry, be proud of your son, he's a cat lover.

What more can you explain to him.  Like mother like son.  You have taught him well.  I'm on his side.

Please, please, please, for William and myself get out your traps and get that calico girl to the vet and have her spayed and yes, do whatever it takes to make her an indoor only girl.  I know that Xena is a calico girl but everyone loves a calico and she might be adoptable.  More importantly that she doesn't have kittens.

Good luck and all the best,
