Okay- get ready to leave your complaint here, where we can all share the load! Tell us anything at all that's bugging you, whether the neighbor's cat pooed in your garden or a tree fell on your house - nothing is too big or small!

For me- aside from losing a good friend last week, I'm fed up with the evil, venomous nature of a large section of the human race! It seems that those miserable excuses for people that were causing so much trouble before & during Lynna's death have continued. But they've been leaving the rest of us alone & harassing Sarah, who was already exhausted. She's been receiving hate mail & threats, to the point that it was affecting her health! And when she went to get the 2 horses Lynna PERSONALLY signed over to her, she was told there was a hold on them. She finally had too much & gave back everything Lynna had left her. Lynna's SOB husband is just determined to sell her stuff & get all the money he can. I have NO doubt that those three cronies put him up to it, either! I am just sick over the whole thing, especially when all of these "people" claim to be such GOOD Christians.

Plus, my riding horse has been sick for nearly a week. He's sounded like he has throat congestion, has a snotty nose & a temp varying from 102-105.8 since Thursday! (Horses start out with a normal temp from 99-100.5, so 105.8 is not automatically deadly, although it's pretty darned high!) The vet did a blood panel on him & he's anemic, which indicates to the vet that it's viral, not bacterial, but he's getting concerned that the fever is hanging in so long.

Anyway, that's my major whines............ who's next?

Jenny

WEll, it's not Wednesday, but I've got a whine anyway!!

It's those darned people who are so glued to their cell phones that you can't have a simple dinner with them without having it interrupted by a text message or a notification that they have a new email (that they absolutely MUST read!!) or a call they have to take.  It is so incredibly rude, it makes me see red in a huge way.  My son is the worst with this one!!!  He's 25 y/o and doesn't live with us, so it's not like we see him all the time anyway, but we had him here for dinner tonight, and I'd be willing to bet that his phone wasn't in his pocket for a solid 5 minutes at any time during the time he was here!  He's not the only one though - I think people ought to abolish cell phones - back in the day when we had only the land lines to contact people, there was rarely something so earth shatteringly important that a call could interrupt pretty much anything one is doing!  As I said, my son isn't the only one that I'd like to smack with his cell phone - it's pretty much everyone of his generation! :(

Oh, I agree 100%. Common courtesy has flown right out the proverbial window with the rabid addiction to "always being connected." From my observations, though, it's not necessarily "generational." I see a lot of people of all ages seem to have problems setting limits for incoming calls, texts or emails. How hard is it to put a cell phone on silent mode and enjoy one's dinner?! (eye roll) Or drive safely? Even in the days before cell phones, during meals DH & I let phone calls go to the answering machine. And turned the volume off on that. Also when we were watching a movie, doing other family things, etc. It's *our* lives, after all, and we choose when we want to allow interruptions. People can send email, text messages, leave voice mail. The whole point to me is convenience. I can read or pick up messages when I see fit, and respond when I see fit, have the time, etc. I am not at the world's beck & call. It's about choices, rudeness and lack of consideration for others. No common sense at all in the use of this technology. It really is like some kind of addiction, IMO. I remember 10-15 years ago, seeing someone walking along or standing on a street corner, alone, talking out loud meant mental difficultues. LOL! Seriously, though, maybe, in a strange way, it still indicates the same. Mental difficulties about common courtesy, and so forth, when with others...or amongst others (like rude folk jabbering loudly on cells in restaurants, etc.). The technology took over before proper manners, or simply courtesy, were considered or thought about, in its use. Now it's like it's too late. :O

Well, I'm either a week late -- or a day early. LOL! :P A pet peeve of mine is poor driving habits. Grrrr! Idiot drivers who consider stop signs or red lights optional. Like a freeway on ramp, never fully stop, just cruise a bit slower, then speed up and keep going. Same with red lights and making a right turn. I see and am endangered by these bad drivers everyday, when out walking. I am hyper alert, and these jerks aren't even clamping a cell phone to their ear, or jabbering to the air on a hands-free cell call. I call these type drivers "cracker jack box" drivers. ROFL! They didn't get "real" licenses. They got ones out of a candy box! :D Such drivers couldn't possibly pass a behind the wheels test with these bad driving habits, after all! Like the use of cell phones in the above post, brain is not fully engaged...nor is attention on task or current main activity. So-called "multi-tasking" can be an addiction, never doing anything fully or to the best of one's ability, but only mediocre at best, dangerous at worst, or just plain rude or self-centered, IOW. And when awareness of our surroundings is dimmed, harm to others can result. And not just physical harm as in the case of unsafe driving habits.

Blessings,
Gypsy

Sending many {{{HUGS!}}} your way! I am so sorry in the wake of Lynna's death, there is such ugliness and greediness. People's "true colors" often come out in situations like this, and unfortunately, sometimes the colors are very very dark. :o( I hope your horse gets better very soon!

Blessings,
