Molly is doing pretty well. She has really slowed down a lot (sad). She is still a happy couch potato though. She still enjoys a good nap the best. She goes for rides again too since the weather is cooler.

Stella went to the vet today for back pain and stiffness. It was very scary this morning. The vet thinks she just pulled some muscles and is currently resting in her crate sleeping off a cortisone shot. She has to take it for 10 days. Otherwise she has been doing well and still able to go offleash.

Madison no, or no Madison (whichever you choose to call her) is in about  a terrible two stage right now. She is 7.5 months old. She has learned a few tricks and commands but still chooses to not hear me a lot. She weighs about 6 pounds still and very sweet and loving. She adores Stella.

Bec, how old are Molly & Stella?

Lucy, W, and Roni are doing good, although I think W is feeling a little ganged up on by the Aussies!  Poor W can't play fetch because all 3 of them try to herd him.

JoJo's eyes aren't making enough tears, he started new eyedrops today and I hope they start working soon because his eyes are REALLY red.  They may be especially irritated from the paper the vet stuck in them for a minute in each eye (OUCH!) to test tear production yesterday.

The foster kids are great - Sydney is really coming out of her shell and acting like a real dog!  She is still very wary of strangers but much better than she was.  Kirby is a sweet boy and not afraid of people at all but he seems very anxious so I'm a little worried about him.

Hi Angela. Molly is 9.5 which the vet said is very good due to the chronic health problems she's had, and Stella is only 4.5 years old. She's grumpy right now but usually a really happy, hyper dog.

Poor W. None of the dogs here will play with Foxy (my parents dog) she herds them. The last time she did it to Stella, Stella bit her.

Ouch... poor JoJo. Hope that clears up soon.

I'm glad you are still doing fosters. You really seem to enjoy it. I'm proud of you, I could never do that.

Fostering is so much fun.  My mom started doing it a couple months ago and got Lizzie, the most adorable dog I've ever seen!

(http://www.apbpets.com/erdogs.htm 2nd dog down)

Lizzie has an angular limb deformity, which basically means her front leg and foot were very badly twisted.  Originally we were told it was no big deal so we listed Lizzie on Petfinder and got some applications for her.  Then the next vet said we needed to get it checked out further and after several specialist opinions it was obvious she needed (very expensive) surgery.

Anyway, a woman who applied for her 2.5 months ago has been patiently waiting to adopt Lizzie.  We thought she'd be ready by the end of this month, but there have been complications and now it will probably be December before she's medically all set for adoption.  I finally convinced the rescue to let this woman just become a volunteer and be Lizzie's foster mom in the meantime.  My parents were getting VERY attached, and so was I since she has spent a fair amount of time at my house too since her specialist is closer to me.  But after seeing how happy Lizzie's new mom is and how much she's been looking forward to this, I am SO happy that Lizzie is with her.  I have been grinning all week looking at her Facebook page with all the pictures she posted and her friends congratulating her and wanting to visit Lizzie.  Not all adopters are THIS excited, but it's so fun to meet other people who really love dogs.
