Anybody home? LOL! :P Any plans for Hallowe'en? I finally got my porch and front window & living room decorations up yesterday. Talk about procrastination. :D Mika's been wearing her new bandanna from the groomer's last week: black with white ghosties all over it, and the word, BOO! Glows in the dark, too! LOL! Although we won't be walking in the dark, I'll wear my space alien t-shirt on Hallowe'en, too, that glows in the dark. We'll have our walk about town, in the daylight, though. :D Got candy, the good stuff, but don't know how many trick-or-treaters there will be Saturday night. I notice the elementary school just up the street has a sign for a haunted festival both Friday and Saturday night from 5:00-8:00 p.m., so who knows if anybody will walk down the street towards us? We only got about 10-15 kids last year. Sent all the extra candy to work with DH so we wouldn't eat it, ROFL! :P

I know, it's way too quiet around here lately! We are supposed to be going away for the weekend w/Jeff's parents and I REALLY don't want to go. For one, they don't really like me. Two, I have a ton of work to do and don't really want to take Fri off work. And three, I don't want to leave Lucy! She has a torn ACL and was supposed to have surgery to fix it today. But when they did hip Xrays they found that her hip on that same side is too bad to handle the recovery of the ACL surgery. So they did put some sutures in to stabilize the joint, but couldn't do as much of a fix as planned. Anyway, I would much rather stay home with her. There is a small chance the trip is getting canceled, but since that's what I *want* to happen, it probably won't :(
HUGS! I'm sorry about Lucy's surgery not being all you hoped, that could help her. :( At least things will improve, though. Is Lucy staying at the vet's while you're gone for the weekend? You don't feel you can say no to the weekend and stay home (with Lucy)? I think I'd postpone or send your DH alone... Hope you can work things out the way you would prefer!

Awww, poor Lucy! It's a shame that the surgery couldn't be done as planned. Hopefully, what they DID do will help her out.
Is the planned weekend any kind of real special thing (like someone's put out a lot of non-refundable money for it)? If not, then I'd tell DH that I couldn't leave Lucy right now! Well........ actually, even if there WAS money put out, I'd still stay home. But that's because I really don't like going away, nor am I fond of "get-togethers", especially when you're stuck with those people & can't just go to your room, LOL!

No Halloween decorations here; between the rain & the dogs, they wouldn't stand a chance, LOL! I never have to worry about trick or treaters out in the country, but the church down the road often has a hay ride, so you kinda have to watch that you don't run them down, heheh.
