or annoying....depending on the circumstances....LOLOL....

DH has been walking my girls every day since we started having landscaping work done in the yard.  Even though they can now play outside, he still continues to walk them.  Now they have a routine...he'll go home and let them out to their potty area.  When he lets them in, Cleo runs into the house (because she knows that she always gets walked second) and Samantha goes to to the side garage door and sits down, waiting for DH to put her leash on.  After her walk she runs into the house and Cleo comes running into the garage ready for her walk.

On the other hand....Cleo seems to love the area that the landscapers put in for my above-ground vegetable garden.  She finds her way there, digs and hole, and lies down checking out the woods.  Yesterday DH put up some fencing so that she would have access from the back....so she just accessed it from the front!!!

These dogs are just too smart.....

Right...and Cleo is making a mess of my patio....dirt and mulch all over.  Besides that she's still jumping on my couch when we're not home, even though we try to block it.  This morning I woke up a little later than usual and when I opened my bedroom door, there was Cleo jumping off the couch.....she looked guilty but was wagging her tail so I know she really doesn't care....LOLOL....

I know your pain... LOL... We haven't planted any grass out front and our tile front porch takes all the abuse- Gracie and Bud have mud all over it as well as leaves and grass that catches on thier coats.

About the furniture. We started out not letting Gracie and Bud up on the furniture but now they're allowed up if we invite them. Bud can't jump so he's not a problem but I'm sure Gracie sneaks up there when I'm not looking. I just went for a multicolor couch that hides dog hair and dirt. - It's a hand me down couch but I got lucky with the colors. I wouldn't have a clue how to keep her off the couch. They somehow know not to, but like you say... what are us humans going to do about it?! Besides when Cleo turns her cute little face on you, don't you just feel like hugging her?
