DH left to take DS to school this morning and our neighborhood turns out onto a two lane, fairly busy, highway. As he was turning a small dog ran up to his truck and he almost hit it. DH opened his truck door and the dog jumped right up into his lap.
He brought the dog home and we've been searching and searching ever since. He's been driving around trying to see if anyone is out looking for a dog, he's called neighbors, gone to strangers houses asking if they know anything about a lost dog and has been calling the animal shelter which still isn't open for the day.
She's clearly someone's beloved pet as she's a lap dog and clean. Unfortunately no collar, hoping she's microchipped.
Amy you're lucky she jumped in the car... I chanced a Dachshund all over the main street of town last week trying to get it out of the street... Finally it ran on to a front porch..
It sure is cutie...someone is very worried. Let us know how it goes.
DH went by the animal shelter with her and she is not micro chipped. At this time no one has called or come by looking for her.
Our neighbor across the street said she saw the dog on her front porch last night so clearly it's been on the loose since then.
She's making herself quite at home here and seems to be a daddy's girl as she's mostly taken up with DH. He left for the post offic and she's a tad upset. She's now sitting on my lap as I type this.
Now, Ellie, our Golden Retriever, is a bit miffed by all the attention this tiny critter is getting. ;o)
