This morning feeling guilty that I had to leave Skye to just laying around the kitchen.    We played around the yard with her new toy..Then I thought we'd take a short walk..  The morning light was just getting good and light. We had a heavy frost last night so everything was white and so quiet and still...I love living in the country....  We walked down this dead end street that we normally walk down... there is field on one side of the street..so she can go potty where ever she wants to...

Coming back up the street I saw two very large dogs running towards us...they were coming across a empty lot and they were coming fast....
      I was so scared I thought in just a spit second...do I try to run to a house...   about that time they got close enough that I could see that it was two deer...  My God it so cool...they stopped dead in their tracks..big huge beautiful brown eyes...just in a instant they turned and went around us about twenty feet way...  Skye didn't take her eyes off of them..
then gave me a "mom wow" look.
and a "mom can I"  look...
I gave her a "don't even think about it" look...LOL

It was just so toally awesome..

 

 

 

That was a nice twist to the story at the end Sindee.  I had pictured you and Skye hightailing it back to the house with two angry dogs chasing you.

It must have been an awesome sight for both of you to see those deer so close.  When we were driving home the other night it was dark and there was a deer standing by the side of the road.  My dh slowed down and pulled over to the left praying that the deer would stay right where he was.  We don't really have that many around here but I don't like them playing around on the roads at night.

That's an awesome story Sindee.   I'm sure glad it was deer and not mean dogs.  I just love to watch deer, they are so pretty with those big brown eyes.  Skye was a good girl not to go crazy wanting to chase them.  What an awesome way to start your morning.
