Not sure if this was mentioned here or not before, but our area has seen an increase in the number of stolen dogs that end up on Craig's list. Lots of times they only end up being sold for about $50 as the robbers are looking for some quick cash. They've been taking them in home robberies and also from people's back yards. So, please think to add Craig's list as a place to search if anyone is missing their dog. A neighbor had their dog stolen out of their yard and this was before I knew about the Craig's list thing happening. If I knew at the time, they could have had their dog back probably. Please share with others you know.

Thanks for the reminder about Craigs List!  The Greyhound community monitors it constantly for Greyhounds and the rescue groups will pick up any Greyhounds they can from it.

Thanks for the reminder!

I have used craigslist but you have to be very careful. I met a ferret "rescuer" on craigslist and she asked me to watch 12 ferrets for her for the weekend while she went on a siezure to rescue more ferrets

she never came back and I had to find homes for them, which I don't mind, but my point is that you have to be very careful.

All the more reason to keep your dogs indoors when you're not home!

Most breed rescues have learned to monitor Craig's List, I think.  Pug people do.
