Well I've done it again.....last night after two weeks of trying to resist and hoping he would be adopoted by someone, I couldn't say no. I brought home a new little beige chinchilla boy approximately 3 months old. I probably shouldn't have gotten the part-time job at PetSmart (in addition to my other full-time job) since it's proving to be too tempting for me when I see little babies there eating not so great brands of food and being lonely.....this little guy was so alert and friendly and his fur color is just gorgeous! I reasoned with myself that he could make a wonderful playmate for one of my other boys....tee hee!
I need to get better photos of him. I took this one below a week ago while admiring him at the store. Now he's in Cocoa's old 3 level cage with a new wooden house and hammock and fresh food and water. I'm transitioning him onto much better food which he already shows he prefers.
He got a clean bill of health today at the vet's office. Yippee!! Powder & Cocoa both seem to especially like the little guy. I need to find a good name for him now.
Penn is doing better, by the way, since I rescued him last June. His anemia is gone since he got the iron supplements. Cocoa seems better too since her stressful drive to the exotics vet in September.
