Rabbits & Other Small Animals

My baby Chewy was a.o.k yesterday but she hasn't eaten today, and she peed on the bed, which has never happened.  My poor little baby, we are expecting to have to put her to sleep today :(  We are pretty sure its the jaw absess that has finally started hurting her.

Everyone please say a prayer for my baby, to ease her through whatever happens

OMG, I was going to ask about Chewy yesterday :(  I knew I should have.

I am so sorry things have started going bad for her.  I really hope it's something else simple and not the jaw problem.

If it is, I am so sorry once again.  But you have to always remember you gave her more than anyone else could have given her.  Especially the last family she was with.  That was no kind of life for her and she would have passed away a very long time ago if it weren't for you.

Please tell us what happens today (((hugs))).  We all hope it's not going to be so bad she has to be put down :(

thanks michelle.  doctor's appointmemt is an an hour.  jay doesn't want to put her to sleep today, so if that is the case we will give her pain meds and give her critical care until the weekend.

but i will post later on and let you guys know what the vet says.

I'm sorry Chewy seems to be having problems again.

I'm torn on my opinion of animal health care. lol On one hand, I wouldn't want to unnecessarily put an animal down. But on the other hand, sometimes it's the best thing despite the medical technology. I know that ultimately it's a very personal decision though. But I will say that I HATE when vets push tests, etc.

Kisses for Chewy and hugs for you! I hope everything will go well and you'll know when it's time. Chewy will let you know.
