What is under the hood of your car?

We are having a cold snap here and it has dropped down to 40 at night. Hubby took my car out yesterday morn to wash the desert dirt off and out from under the fender ran a black feral cat that must have been sleeping under the hood all night in our carport to keep warm. I'm sure glad he didn't get hurt. From now on, we will bang on the hood before starting our cars to make sure no ferals are under it. We have a few that live here and this is something we never even thought to do.

Has something like this ever happen to you?

Here is a good article!

Wow! Those are some lucky cats!

It's funny you should mention this. It's getting cold here again and cats seem to get injured every year. dh works for a trucking company and we were talking this weekend and he told me that all the drivers go around banging on their hoods before they start. I was surprised but as burly and tough as the drivers look, they're all pretty much tender hearted teddy bears.

I don't bang my hood but I'll start!
