<<Virginity testing is the act of testing ones virginity. An act still carried out in some cultures, such as the Zulu, where young virgins dance in front of the king and at random are chosen to be tested. If found to be a virgin, their families are praised, if found by their standards**, to be a non virgin, they and their families are ridiculed and even fined>>
What part of the above that Passion posted about women being tested for virginity is cheating and being dishonest to their future husband? Or are you talking about the virginity gadget thing that CMStephanie posted about?
As for the virginity gadget, what about the woman who IS a virgin but does not bleed on her wedding night and then she is accused of being a non-virgin? I don't think the gadget will promote premarital sex in these cultures, I think the majority of women would be scared to death to have premarital sex. In some cases, this gadget could save a woman's life.
I think it's very sad and disgraceful that some cultures still exist where women would feel the need for something like this in order to not be discriminated against, shunned and in some cases much worse things happen to them.
What do you feel is worse, a woman who has premarital sex or what can be done to her if she has premarital sex or just *thought* to be a non-virgin, she's shunned, flogged and in some cases she's killed ....... it's called an honor killing.
