We have been thinking of buying a new mattress for some time.

I've been leaning towards one of the memory foam mattresses. The Nova Form Pure Grand from Costco was just on sale. I didn't pull the trigger. In my online research, I was looking for information about how returns are done. I found some rather humorous commentary and a utube video about sex not being the same on these type of mattresses.

So who has slept on these. Did you have to make adaptations to your techniques?

Other thoughts and opinions???

Thanks

Paul

We checked them out and frankly found them to be a little bit too "form fitting" or "squishy" for our liking. (both for sleeping and sex)

We ended up getting a high-end foam-latex mattress, and then adding a memory-foam "slip cover" type thing to it.

I'm NOT fan of the memory foam mattresses as they' are WAY too soft for me, but I've got to admit, the memory-foam cover on a nice firm foam-latex mattress is FANTASTIC !

We almost got a fairly good brand of memory foam mattress at one point but bauked at the last moment about paying so much money for something relatively untried by us. I thought that it was very comfortable and my wife has a bad back so we thought it would be good for that. I know what you mean about the sex without even seeing the link - it'd be like doing it in soft sand - no bounce, just a complete dampening of the motion.

Exactly.

Even with the satisfaction return policy. It's a major hassle.

Give it a couple of days to fully inflate before use. We don't have an extra area of the bedroom for this to happen. Many people comment/complain about the initial chemical smells.

I'm not in a hurry. We'll give it some more thought.

I'm in the process of buying a mattress.... what do you mean wait for it to inflate before use and the chemical smell?
