I am a virgin, and waiting for marriage. I've also been dating a great guy for the past month or so - he doesn't know yet, but I think he may be ok with it.
The problem is, my coworkers know I've been seeing this guy for a while, and they keep hassling me about when I'm going to have sex with him. Things like, "Oh, fifth date, you're probably going to get lucky." I don't feel sexually harassed, let me make that clear, and if I wasn't a virgin, I wouldn't care, but I am and I do. How do I reply to them to get them to shut up without outing myself as a virgin? I'm 27, so it would be shocking, and none of their business anyway.

You're right, it's none of their business and you should politely tell them it's none of their business.

I'm wondering why you wouldn't care that they ask if you weren't a virgin.  Whether you're sexually active or not with someone you're dating is between the two of you, no one else.

I had sex long before I was married and that wasn't anyone's business either.  When people would ask if we were having sex or make sexual comments, I would tell them what he and I do is between him and I, no one else.

Oooh, your office sounds like mine LOL

Seriously though, I've found that the more about us we share, the more people will comment. The office staff who are open about what they do get a lot of joking and questions. However, those who keep their personal lives to themselves seem to miss out on those conversations.

I'd say if you're not comfortable with them joking, then try to avoid discussing your personal life.

They seem to be wanting to feed of your juicy news....depending on how close you are too them and how you want to be perceived....I'd be inclined to actually play or joke along with their antics.....give them something juicy to feed off..... like for instance... "he was OMG".....

They will probably lose interest if they think you've done the deed and stop asking....
