Mismatched Libidos

Hi all, I'm a mature female on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy ( think Suzzane Sommers controversial 'The Sexy Years") with a HL in the beginning stages of a new relationship - absolutely fabulous man in every respect except for libido. 

We have discussed the differences lightly but enough to understand there is a substantial difference in need and interest.  

Men can also go on hormone replacement therapy - so here's my question...

Is anyone familiar enough with men going on hormone therapy to know if their sex drive does or can go up?     I understand it can dramatically improve the ability, length and strength of erections but does it increase your actual libido?

Any help appreciated as I don't want this to be a deal breaker but worried .....thx.

Male hormone replacement therapy, also known as TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is relatively new and there have not been a lot of studies done on the risks v benefits. The studies done have been short term and with small groups of men. From what I understand, many have reported an increase in libido.

Andropause is a change in the male hormone balance, much as menopause is to women. If the LL is caused by a decline in testosterone, your guy may be a candidate for replacement therapy. As with female hormone replacement therapy, the potential benefits have to be weighed against the risks - the risks with testosterone replacement therapy are not yet clear.
