Firefighters' Wives

Well I updated last night on the roll call, I havn't been around much because I am stupid! 

Those of you on FB already know that I fell off the curb at Target on 9/24.  I thought for sure I had broke my ankle and some very kind women stopped and helped me calling 911 and getting ice for it and staying with me until help came.  I got to take an ambulance ride to the hospital where they informed me it was just a very bad sprain and I might have a new or an old achillies tear at my heal. 

It has kept swelling horribly and I went to the bone and joint doc. yesterday to have a re-check and new x-rays.  The damage was old on the achillies, but I did sprain my ankle horribly and start physical therapy on it tomorrow.  FB I can update from my cell, but I have to actually sit at the computer to update here.  

I'm still around just not as often right now since I can't sit with my foot down for long.  I feel like such an idiot spraining my ankle this way.  Someone told me I need to make up a much more intresting story like there was a run away cart in Target parking lot with a baby in it about to get hit by a big truck! LOL!  I give her points for making it sound good, but unfortunately it wasn't that exciting.  I simply just fell off the curb putting things in the van.

How is your ankle doing now Jen?  I know from FB you've been sick on top of everything else - you just can't catch a break!

I like your friend's idea of telling a better story of just falling off a curb :)

I'm around just havn't been able to get much time on the computer lately.  Dan had to do his online recert for his EMT license... 40 hrs. of videos and online quizes.  He's finnaly done with it so I have been able to get back online more today YEAH! 

The ankle is still tender but I am getting around much better. 

The cold is starting to clear up and hopefully I will get to go to my daughters show this Friday night YEAH again! 

Getting caught up on all the housework still from when I was laid up those two weeks.  I finnaly got the grocerys stocked back up Monday night when I took Lu to dance class.  I came home with a packed trunk and pizza for dinner.  Of course I had to with hold the pizza to get them to unload the groceries LOL. 

I hope everyone is doing good, everyone has escaped the piggy flu here so far.  Crossing my fingers and knocking on wood, we are scheduled for flu shots next week.  Take care everyone.
