What does Thanksgiving mean to you?

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we'd love to know: what does Thanksgiving mean to you? From grandma's pumpkin pie to sitting down to a big family dinner, what are your favorite Thanksgiving moments? Tell us about your best Thanksgiving memory, a family tradition or that special dish that makes the day complete. If only a picture will do your holiday table justice, post it here and let us see how you celebrate!

*Note: Your story may be used in an upcoming iVillage Thanksgiving feature.

One of the things I like most about Thanksgiving (aside from celebrating my 11/24 birthday, lol) is getting together with my family over a good meal. Everyone seems far more relaxed and happier while they're eating, lol, and we almost never have any family drama to contend with during this one holiday gathering. It's also nice if we're able to get hubby's family and mine together in one sitting, rather than spending time with his family the week before, and mine the week after, Thanksgiving.

A leisurely morning, reading newspaper in bed maybe, and later dinner at family's house.  Large quantities of everything, then 2nd's of course, and forfced down pie for dessert!  Then sneaking off for a short  nap to a football game.  And leftovers the next day if we're lucky!

The opportunity to show off my title "Queen of Turkey," and eat lots of sage sausage stuffing. And staying in my jammies all day. :)

Hey, I'm a fellow Queen of Turkey in my household, too! LOL. After serving up my braised turkey to my extended family several years ago, my brother-in-law dubbed me that, saying it was the juiciest, most flavorful turkey he had ever eaten, adding that he'd eaten enough to know, lol.

This year, I'm going to my parents' for Thanksgiving, though, so my mom will likely be in charge of the bird, much to the rest of the family's dismay, lol.

Sage sausage stuffing? That sounds yummy. Care to share the recipe? You can either post it here, or upload it to the iVillage Recipe Box.

I was thinking of making Brown Sugared Carrots to share with the folks this year, for a change of pace, but that stuffing might be better as far as my ils are concerned?
