I kinda know how you feel but it's not on my end....My mom has been widowed for less than a year and a half and her friends are constantly asking her when she's going to start dating again. Her and my dad were soulmates, they were damn near perfect plus he hasn't even been gone that long. I love the way she handles it though, she always gives the same answer..."Why would I date again? I've already found and loved the man I was meant to be with." That always tends to quiet them a bit lol.

Yep, had a friend like that....emphasis on the word HAD.

Here are some examples of how she treated me.  She married at 19, been married for 20 years and I have never married.  She can't accept my marital status.   Once we were at a hockey game.   We were walking by a cute guy in a Detroit jersey, I was walking with a full beer, she pushed me into him, my beer spilled all over his jersey.   Thankfully he saw she did it and he was not pissed at me.

This same friend and I were out with friends one night.   One guy was talking about some complications his son had when he was born.   He stopped describing it and asked me if he was grossing me out.   I said no, my friend tapped me on the shoulder and in a condescending tone, told him " Umm, she doesn't HAVE kids".  I was not grossed out and was offended that she made that comment.

Then she set me up with a friend of hers.   He is divorced with kids.   He was concerned that I was too wild since I was single all my life.  Instead of telling him the truth that I am older and settled now, she told him," single people drink and mingle".   He was under the impression that I was some wild person, and broke it off.  She sabotaged our relationship.   That was the last straw and I have not spoken to her in a year now.

There have been other incidents, but I think you get the picture.  I have now surrounded myself with friends who do not obsess about my being single.   Life is much better and less aggravating.

Well done that you left your old friend.  Sounds like she has no respect of you and other people being single and never married.  If people wonder if I have been too wild in my life because I am single, my answer is "yes".  I don't mean that everyone are like that but just me.  I like to drink but only on occasion.    WTF she said <<she told him," single people drink and mingle".>>  It is a biggest BS in the world.  I was wild before but no need to drink in order to be wild.
