Finally- I've read a man's honest perspective and he knows his stuff about porn addiction! Thank you eyuop! I agree about the chemical part and I've done my homework on researching porn addiction. You are absolutely right. If it weren't an addiction it would be easy to just stop. This is where people get confused. They don't understand how porn ( or the behavior of watching it) can possibly be an addiction. It's not about the act of watching it-that is part of the obsession). It is about the chemicals released when one watches and experiences arousal on a regular basis. Any thoughts on what to expect from a BF who is a porn addict ( please lilit to those who are interested in the support board). Thanks so much!eyuop- finally I've read about a good man who knows his stuff about porn addiction. Thank you! I agree about the chemical addiction, and have also read about studies verifying this evidence. If it were not an addiction it would not be so hard to just stop the behavior followed by lying to our loved ones, covering it up, etc. I'm currently dealing with an addiction myself as well as my BF. He has lied about it numerous times. He has been a porn addict from long before we ever met. He just recently admitted he has a problem, although I knew it all along. Any thoughts ( anyone interested in the support board) on what to expect? Thanks so much!
