Hot Topic: In Love & Sports

My DH is a high school football coach in Texas, so from August to November, I am a sports widow.  LOL.

I really don't mind because I love watching football in person, but don't ask me to watch football on TV.  I cannot sit there for 3 or 4 hours watching the game and then watching the replays from 10 different angles.  No thank you.  I'll go to my office and play on the computer instead of that.

Now if you ask me to watch the Houston Astros on TV, I will gladly oblige, so DH and I share that love.  I just cannot sit with him during the world series because he likes to cuss when the Astros mess up, which has been quite a bit lately.

So who else is a sports widow?

My dh has season tickets to the local college football - LSU Tigers - woohooo!  Yes, they have a pretty good team, and SEC and all that stuff....but geez.... I just kinda roll my eyes most of the time.

Here's our Saturdays during football season:

DH wakes up, eats breakfast - then leaves the house to head out to the stadium... oh about 11am I guess. .... for a game that starts at 7pm.

THEN - on top of that - he makes me tape the games that are on tv - so he can watch it on Sunday.

THEN - all during the week he listens to sports talk radio every afternoon..... sigh.

Is that a "fan" or a "fan"atic???

 

 

I guess you have to watch the World Series in another room...or at another house...lol.

Pigskin Pick-em challenge

I'm so glad that my DH doesn't have time for that.  :o)  Right now they are working 7 days a week always preparing for the next game. 

He hasn't asked me to tape any games for him,  yet. 

DH and I were talking about college football the other day.  We went to a Texas A&M System school, so we're not aggies.  We are usually ranked at the top in our conference.  Anyway, DH and I attended school there for 4 1/2 years and went to one game the entire time and that was because his boss gave us some reserved tickets.  We had free admission and never used it.  I guess that's why we don't have to make it to every game now that we've graduated.
