Hey all, I really need some input to see if this seems normal or not.

This past Friday night I had sex that got a little rough. Needless to say my partner was fairly decent size and was sadly hitting my cervix pretty often. I never had my cervix hit before and obviously it was uncomfortable.

The next day, on Halloween, I didn't feel any major discomfort other than I felt slightly crampy and bloated, as almost as if I were going to start my period which wouldn't be the case...I had been out of my period since the 24th of October. That lasted on/off for most of the day. Sunday those symptoms were gone

Today, Monday, when I got home from work, I was startled to have found some spotting in my underwear. It was brown, like old blood. Not a lot but enough to make me wonder.

Has anyone ever have this occur before? Not sure if this is due from frequent hitting of the cervix and this is signs of cervix injury or the activity jarred some old blood that didn't get flushed out from my last period. What do you all think?

Thanks

It's not unusual to have spotting after rough sex.  It's not "old blood"........but since it's not bright red, and it's only spotting.......unless it continues, I wouldn't worry about it.  If it does continue for several days, then it's time to see your gyno.

Hint for the future:  If a guy is doing something that's HURTING you, you ask him to stop!  He doesn't know it hurts you unless you tell him!  A decent guy doesn't WANT you to be in pain.......but he won't know that you are unless you tell him.

Welcome to the board, Lost.

Rough sex can cause some spotting, as can sex soon after your period ends. Not sure if that's what caused it in this case, but it sounds like it's nothing to worry about for now. If it's ever bright red and more abundant or lasting longer, you should schedule a visit with your gyn.

The bloating you felt could have been from air being pushed inside of you. That can occur even without your cervix being hit. Different positions can contribute to this as can the tightness of the fit. If he's larger, you may also want to try using lube for added comfort.

Hi lostinreality,

This happens to me often.
My husband and I fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces,
but every now and then he'll be a bit bigger than usual.
He has always hit my cervix, and I'm kindof use to it now,
unless he catches me off guard and then it scares me a little.lol.

I have had the spotting type thing happen to me before.
Usually it is just from sex after my recent period.
From my experience,it is probably just old blood that was near
your cervix that got "jarred" loose.
But I agree with the other posts,if it continues a visit
to your gyno might be best.

Hope this helps.
