If I discovered the fantastic man I was dating has female genitalia, I would
end the relationship immediately.
continue seeing him to test my feelings.
definitely intend to continue the relationship.
have no idea what to do next.

Wow, I can't even imagine this. I would probably end the relationship, but not the friendship.

I was thinking about the Chaz Bono situation and how a lesbian woman now  accepts a "man". I really wonder if genitalia makes a difference if you are attracted to the person.

I believe we love the person not the gender...but there would definitely be a re-evaluation period for me. You need time to adjust to reality as it is...and not as you assumed it to be.

I'm sorry, but "The Crying Game" type revelations aside, you might love the person but there are some pretty big issues surrounding this and I don't think that there are too many people that would want to continue the relationship - I think maintaining a friendship is going to be difficult enough.

It wouldn't be some movie where you could say "But I love you as a person, not a gender" and gaze dreamily into their eyes as the sun sets in the west....
