Let me see..

When he's not with me, I miss holding his hand and talking to him while facing him right before going to sleep. I miss curling up on the couch and watching a movie, or taking our dog for a walk. It's really hard to make food for one person, so that's harder too.

When he's with me, it's the best. We go for walks and just spend hours talking. Now that he's gone, since I have the dog and the cat and the house and work and working out and things that just don't let me talk to him a whole lot at night, since we have a little bit of free time at different times.

Since he's been gone, this has put short-distance LDRs into perspective. I used to think that they were nothing compared to what I was going through, but now I really do count down to every Thurs/Fri. It really does just depend on what kind of distance or time between visits you are used to. It's easier on me since I know this stupid distance ends (again) for us in two weeks and I still see him every weekend.

Sorry, I kind of went off on a tangent, but I think you know what I mean. :)

His smile. I just LOVE it and wish I could see it every day.

When Matt's away, I miss little things like having coffee with him, cuddling up on the couch to watch movies, snuggling in bed, etc.  It's kind of funny...we have this little tradition where we ALWAYS watch "Jeopardy!" together during the week.  It's such a bummer when he's gone...I watch it by myself and tell him about it that night.  It's not the same, though.

I also miss cooking for him when he's gone...it just feels so empty without him there.

It's rough when you parents don't see eye to eye with your SO, OP. I am blessed that even though my parents are Christians, they are very open and I have dated a variety of guys from different religions and it never is a problem. My sister is an atheist and, likewise, she respects all my choices.

My grandmother, though, is a devout Catholic and is very suspect of my current BF. While she thinks he is not a BAD person, she doesn't really "approve" either.

Good for you for working it out though!

I think I miss his eyes the most when he is gone. That and his scent. He always smells like expensive cologne and his hair gel. Cologne is his splurge item. Whenever I smell Hugo Boss it makes me think of him.
