1. Halloween is this month. What is your favorite trick-or-treat candy or treat? Every year, I seem to click with something different. Last year, I was pregnant and obsessed with SweetTarts. It got so bad that Alexis would just hand them to me when she got them, and my mom made a whole trick-or-treat bag of them for me! Anything chocolate is always good (if it's decent chocolate), and I always love Pixie Sticks. And in recent years, I've grown to love peanut butter kisses.
2. Will you dress up this year? If so, what will you be, and what has been your favorite costume in the past? I probably won't dress up. If I do, I'll be a flower since Toby is going to be a skunk, but I think Alexis is going to be his flower, so I'm off the hook. I had some awesome costumes growing up, but I think one of the best was when I wore a set of kimono pajamas and had my mom transform me into a little Japanese girl. We actually sprayed my hair completely black for that (and I was white blonde at the time). I think I was in the third grade or so for that one.
3. Are there any celebrations or special occasions/events on your calendar this month? I'm planning to take Toby to my hometown for its fall festival and let him be in the kiddie parade with Alexis next weekend, and we'll make the rounds to the nearby zoos for their trick-or-treat events. Alexis loves those (so do I), and she's already been talking about taking Toby.
4. What are you dreading or looking forward to this month?] Well, Tom left yesterday, and being without him has been my big dread. We'll probably be separated only a couple of months, but it's still hitting me hard since it's the first separation of more than a month since Toby's birth. But I'm looking forward to doing more with the fitness challenge, taking Toby and Alexis to the trick-or-treat events, and making this month special "Alexis and Sissy" time since it might be the last month for awhile that I'm around consistently until we make our move to Georgia. (Once we're there, we're still close enough for her to visit on long weekends and such -- and every weekend is long in pre-K.)
1. Halloween is this month. What is your favorite trick-or-treat candy or treat? Oooo, even though I'm not supposed to eat it I LOVE the pink laffy taffy... soooo good! lol
2. Will you dress up this year? If so, what will you be, and what has been your favorite costume in the past? I probably won't dress up this year since Adam will be gone. And honestly I haven't really dressed up much in the past either. But I'm hoping next year we'll be able to dress up and celebrate!!! lol
3. Are there any celebrations or special occasions/events on your calendar this month? Not really... October is a pretty slow month for me...
4. What are you dreading or looking forward to this month? I'm not dreading much actually, just excited to get another month out of the way! Only two months left until my hubby is home!!!!
1. Halloween is this month. What is your favorite trick-or-treat candy or treat? I like the variety of Halloween. As much as I love chocolate (especially Resse's peanutbutter cups), it's nice to have a bowl full of different things to have. Since Nathan doesn't really eat much candy (he'd rather have fruit), I get to eat most of it. :)
2. Will you dress up this year? If so, what will you be, and what has been your favorite costume in the past? I'm not sure yet. Normally I let Nathan pick out my costume and I dress up and take him out trick or treating. This year, we are going trick or treating with some friends of our and their daughters birthday happens to be Halloween, so I'm not really sure what the plan is yet. My favorite costume in the past was back in the late 80s when my mom helped me dress up as a punk rocker. I wore a denim skirt, some funky shirt, some big necklaces, huge earrings, and my mom teased my hair and sprayed it with pink hairspray. It was quite a look. :)
3. Are there any celebrations or special occasions/events on your calendar this month? There are a few birthdays this month in our family and friends, but most importantly, our 1st anniversary is the 10th. :) Rob is planning a surprise, so all I know is that we are going out to dinner and he arranged for our friends to watch Nathan.
4. What are you dreading or looking forward to this month? I'm looking forward to our anniversary. I'm torn between looking forward to and dreading the month being here and over soon. Counting down to a deployment sucks. Part of me wants the days to slow down so that it doesn't seem like it's getting closer, but part of me wants the time to fly by so he'll be gone and I can start counting down for him to be coming home instead of leaving. Knowing months in advance is hard.

OMG I LOVE candy. LOL When I was little we only got to eat our candy ON halloween night(as much as we could). My brother and I would fight over peanut butter cups and my dad would steal our milky ways and snickers. Those still are some of my favs. but one candy that you def. assiocate with fall/halloween that I LOVE is candy corn.
2. Will you dress up this year? If so, what will you be, and what has been your favorite costume in the past?
I;ve been thinking about dressing up. yesterday I was thinking about Embry being a football and I would dress up as a football player or ref. I'm going to look for costumes this weekend for the both of us. When I was younger I was a witch, sailor, kitty and clown a few times. Last years costume was fun. I was a preschooler playing dress up!
