Dating a Military Man

Good morning! As you can see, I'm typing, so that means I'm not driving. For those who hadn't noticed the change already, I am NOT moving today. We have pushed back our departure to next Tuesday.

~ One of my great aunts and great uncles (two of my grandma's siblings) arrived from Louisiana yesterday. For supper, Grandma made a classic Southern supper of black-eyed peas, turnip greens, and fried potatoes. I only eat those things occasionally, and I really enjoyed it (especially when my great uncle broke out his homemade pepper sauce for the greens). I was almost amused when I realized Tom wouldn't have touched anything on my plate.

~ Tom and I both love zoos. Whenever we go on vacation, we always make sure to visit the local zoo, and we've been to our nearby zoos several times each.

3. What's on your agenda for today?
~ More sorting of stuff. I also have to pick Alexis up from school, take her to gymnastics tonight, and then attend a family dinner at my uncle's house.

not to sound like a broken record but I had to give my ring to Kay yesterday for them to replace the diamond and I have felt naked ever since, I tried to buy a cheap ring from somewhere like Claire's but nowhere makes rings a small enough size for me!

I love going to Washington, D.C. (including Arlington) and to aquariums (though I am still yet to go to the Georgia aquarium which is the biggest in the country and only an hour and a half away from me, lol)

3. What's on your agenda for today?
Pick up my cousin in about 30 minutes at the car dealership (she's getting her car serviced today) and then take her to the dentist (she's having to get work done and will be there a few hours so then I have to pick her up also). Other than that, who knows :)

1. Tell us something about yesterday. 3 of my aunts and an uncle drove out from Chicago on Sunday, and I met up with them last night for dinner (along with my sister and Claudio). I had thought that one of the aunts was my aunt Marie (everyone's least favorite aunt, haha), but it turned out to be my Aunt Ellen (one of my favorite aunts). I rarely get to see my aunt Ellen because she lives in AZ, and it was so wonderful to see her!!! I just love spending time with that side of my family, but it never feels like enough. :-)

I like touring historical sites like castles, old homes, etc. I have fun trying to imagine what life was like during the period.

3. What's on your agenda for today? This morning I had a coaching session with a friend of Claudio's. She was really good - opened up my eyes to certain ways that I think and feel about my life. Today is the usual (work), then I have to stop by the supermarket and CVS Pharmacy. I think we're going to visit my grandparents tomorrow, so I'm thinking of making mushroom risotto to take up there (my grandma has dementia, so she can't cook, and my grandpa can't see to cook).
